Board Meetings
The Silver Dollar Court, Inc.’s Board of Trustees meets the first Thursday of each month – 6:30 P.M. – OUR Center – 1745 S. Wells Ave. Reno, NV 89502 located in MidTown Reno. Sometimes it is necessary to move the date, time or location so please see our court calendar for the most up to date information.
Major Events of the Silver Dollar Court
The Reigning Imperial(s) host an event monthly during their reign as well as traveling the International Court Circuit representing and promoting the Court of Northern Nevada, the Lake Tahoe Basin and the eastern Sierra territories.

Coronation
The annual celebration of the Imperial year that was and the Imperial year to be. The evening is filled with visiting court walks, performances, presentation of community awards and announcement of the newly elected reigning Imperial(s). Traditionally held in early June.
The Annual AIDS Benefit Gala
Hosted for 25 years by the Empress Jack-E, the event raises money for the Northern Nevada HOPES Residence Program through performances, raffle and silent auction prizes and donations from community members and companies. The Northern Nevada HOPES Residence Program provides financial assistance to those with an AIDS diagnosis who do not qualify for any other assistance programs. Traditionally held the weekend before Thanksgiving.
The All-Community Food Drive
A month long 38 year old LGBTQ community food drive to feed families in need for the holidays. The drive kicks off with a show hosted by the Reigning Ducal House and closes the Saturday before Christmas with a show hosted by the Reigning Imperials. Food is sorted, purchased and boxed up for delivery to families the Sunday before Christmas.
Closet Ball
Considered the event of the year within the local LGBTQ community! Closet Ball is about transformation, where boys become girls and girls become boys in but a single hour. Members of the Reno Drag Community paint, dress and coach members of the community who complete for the title of Closet Ball Queen or Closet Ball King, all in fun. The event is traditionally held in either February or March.
Monarchs Show
Traditionally held in May as part of the transition from one reign to another during campaign month, the event brings together past monarchs of the organization to celebrate the history of the oldest LGBTQ organization in the State of Nevada.
Monarchs Bingo
Past Reigns and the Reigning Imperial(s) each take a room of a house and prizes for the various games and things found in those rooms. This event takes place in May.
